HOUSTON – December, 2016 – Elite Multiphase Solutions (EMS), using its patented V-5 Pump™ technology, achieved a five-year milestone record with its installation in a California well.
The impressive field results include reduction of long-term well-service and operational costs, as well as improving the general operating conditions for wells. In this particular well, the centrifugal pumps previously used experienced sand erosion and had to be replaced every six months. Since installation in December 2012, the EMS V-Pump has been running continuously for over four years.
EMS manufactures and sells high viscosity pumps for oil & gas production applications. Its patented V-Pump™ is designed to replace conventional electrical submersible pumps (ESPs) as the preferred application by oil & gas operators. Conventional ESPs typically struggle in wells with heavy oil, high gas to oil ratios and high sand content resulting in poor lift, pump failure and well down time. The V-Pump™ has a wider operating range, is extremely solids tolerant and can be used through multiple production phases. The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
